Assessment-Supported: The curriculum has an assessment system and promotes observing the children's development and growth all the time. Child- Centered: The investigations are based around what the children are interested instead of what the teachers think the children need to know. The children ask questions and the teachers help guide them in answering them on their own instead of telling them. Emergent/Negotiated: This means it is a spontaneous and responsive to children's interests. Science Emphasis: Children are curious and are natural scientists. Science can also incorporate math, language arts, and social studies. Standards Integrated: This curriculum incorporates state and national standards. |
